To the ones doing life with me,
It's been said there is one common bond that brings people together. One that brings joy and fills everyone's body and soul with happy memories. That bond is to gather around the table for a meal. The statement, "Food brings people together," is very honest and true.
Good food, good wine, and good company are three things I believe can enrich everyone's lives. We have made these three key elements our top priorities at Willow Bend. They are part of our culture at the Club. Nothing is worth doing unless you are passionate about making every moment worthwhile. Then, that passion you possess eventually becomes your culture. Creating a positive culture is what we strive for every day for all who enter our doors. Thank you for allowing us to become part of your family and for becoming a part of ours.
I hope everyone has taken the time to enjoy the great weather with family and friends this summer. It's always a blessing to make memories—with your children, grandkids, friends, or significant other; good times are meant to be shared. Make sure you do your part this summer and have some fun. Life is too short not to live it.
So here's to every big, every little, and the everyday things. We are on the backside of the year, and these past seven months have gone by in a flash. So grab that beverage (wine is fine)—it's time for this month's fireside chat.
Here's the rundown of dates this month:
Prime Rib nights will be Friday, August 12 and 26.
The Clubhouse will be closed the evening of Saturday, August 27, for a private event.
We have one big event planned this month at the Club. Friday, August 19, will be an evening with a Kentucky flair as we host Beef-N-Bourbon Night. Our menu is designed to pair the wonderful world of selected bourbons with high-end, unique food items.
There are 14 bourbons to sample in-house to create your bourbon flight. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by live entertainment at 7:30 p.m. to finish a great evening.
Lee Warren is the son of bluegrass musician Mike Warren. He was inspired at a young age to pick up the guitar and follow in his father's footsteps—until he discovered Led Zeppelin. While primarily a cover artist, Lee has no problem throwing a bluegrass or country lick up in some Aerosmith or a blues lead over a Johnny Cash song. At 33 years old, Lee makes his living performing for enthusiastic audiences from the Midwest region down to Tennessee. If you get the chance to stop out, bring your friends, your requests, and your appreciation for the one thing that surely connects us all: music.
