Let the Golf Season Begin!

Once again, the waiting has come to an end as golf season officially arrives at Willow Bend Country Club.

The greens have been cleaned up, the grass has been mowed, and the flags are out. You can feel the renewal of a new spring as the anticipation grows for a new golf season, so dust off those golf bags and polish those clubs.

Golf is all form and strategy and the never-ending pursuit of the perfect game. It's what keeps you going back and what makes you love the game of golf. May you have many fond memories as the season begins, and may you take a stroke or two off your game. If not, that's why there are still erasers on pencils! But mostly, have fun and enjoy what every day offers you.

I know spring ushers in thoughts of vacation planning, camping, and yes, yard work. Schedules become hectic, so just a reminder that we can take the show on the road and cater our delicious food for any party, meeting, or graduation. Always feel free to pick up the phone and let us help take away the planning and worry.

Lastly, to my golfing friends, may I offer a golfer's prayer…

"God, what is my fascination with this game? Is it the outdoors – the green fairways, the blue skies, the pond and trees, the feel of the breeze across my face? Is it the friends with whom I play – their companionship, their encouragement, the conversation between holes, the silence as we wait our turn? Is it the game – the balance between grace and skill and power, the striving for perfection, the loft of the ball, the precision of the putt?

Or is it all of these, and in these, machinations about all of life – harmony, friendship, balance, and every once in a while, the perfect shot and a glorious Amen."

The fireside chat is back outside this month – Amen! So grab that beverage of choice, because it's time for this month's snapshot.

Before we get started, I would like to say "Thank You," again for the many opportunities we've had to serve you. We have been very busy the past couple of months and we truly appreciate our members and the businesses who frequent the club. We take pride in what we do and how we do it. We try to achieve the impossible and we always try to accommodate everyone's needs. It's what we do, and it is our passion to deliver above your expectations.

We all know that the BIG event for May is Mother's Day. As always, we are geared up and excited to take care of everyone on Sunday, May 9. This year's menu is included and we are striving for bigger and better than the last.

Our Mother's Day Buffet Brunch is always a huge event and is already filling up, so if you haven't already, please call to make your reservations and take Mom out for a great day!

PRIME RIB FRIDAY NIGHTS for May will be on the 7th and the 21st.

We will have two FRESH CATCH NIGHTS for the month of May as supplies of fresh fish has begun to increase with the season. Friday the 14th and the 28th.

Don't forget to take a look at our new MONTHLY FEATURE MENU for May. This month, we will be offering culinary dishes from South America.
