Food & Beverage Manager
The cold of February will give way to those nice, warmer “no jacket” kind of March days. Hopefully, sooner than later, but we all know it’s bound to happen eventually. Just as spring brings in a new season of growth and rebirth after a cold winter, we continue to plan our own changes here at the Club.
We have always put meticulous effort into creating and designing our food menus. We put a lot of time into finding and sourcing new and unusual products, then creating new dishes in the proper technique that allows for great execution before it is even placed onto the menu. The common word I use for every dish that comes out of the kitchen is “wow.” Will this dish “wow” our customers? Is it visually appealing? Does it create that craving for the next bite? Well, once again, the creation process is complete and we will roll-out a new menu this month. Keeping it simple this time around using the old adage, “do a few things great instead of many things average.” Make sure you come in to check it out!
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, here is one last note before getting into this month’s happenings…
An Old Irish Blessing
May God grant you always...
A sunbeam to warm you.
A moonbeam to charm you.
A sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you.
Laughter to cheer you.
Faithful friends near you.
And whenever you pray.
Heaven to hear you.
Now grab that cup of coffee because it's time for this month's fireside chat.
Since the Lenten season is upon us, we will be changing a few things this month.
The Club will have two PAC Buffet offerings in March:
One last note...
Don’t forget St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, March 17! Whether you are Irish or not, come in and see us for our Irish themed evening with several Chef features.
The BIG Event of the month is on Saturday, March 28 featuring another dinner and a show comedy magic night.
From Hollywood, California…to you! Comic magician Rusty Ammerman will perform.
Over a quarter-century and thousands of performances, Rusty has developed his “Dimension of Illusion,” creating a personal mix of mystery and maniacal mayhem that has delighted audiences in 43 states and nine countries, including two overseas military tours.
“Magic has nothing to do with fooling people, it’s all about entertainment,“ he explains. “You can make the Eiffel Tower disappear in front of 10 priests, all swearing that it’s gone, only to have it reappear on the moon, verified by NASA, and people will still know it’s a trick…You can’t fool anyone ever, not really.”
Instead, he says, the trick is in making the audience enjoy the illusion, and suspend their disbelief.
Rusty currently hones his legerdemain at dinner theaters, amusement parks, casinos, universities, fairs, schools, libraries, and trade shows.
