Greeting and Salutations, my friends!

It’s great to be back and rolling after a tough year. The yearly shutdown was short-and-sweet, and now it’s time to get into a brand-new year at the Club. But, you don’t move forward without recognizing the past. So, we give many thanks to everyone that stuck with us through 2020! Your support is appreciated, and we will continue to do everything we can to provide you with the best experience possible.

We have always put meticulous effort into creating and designing our food menus. We put a lot of time into finding and sourcing new and unique products, then creating new dishes using the proper technique that allows for great execution before it is even placed on the menu. The common word I use for every dish that comes out of the kitchen is “wow.” Will this dish “wow” our customers? Is it visually appealing? Does it create that craving for the next bite? Well, once again, the creation process is complete, and we will roll out a new feature this month. We’re keeping it simple this time around using the old adage, “do a few things great instead of many things average.”

Beginning this month and for the rest of the year, we will feature culinary cuisine from around the world every month. In order to provide a worldly dining experience without leaving Van Wert, each month will showcase an appetizer, soup, salad, sandwich, entrée, dessert, and of course, monthly featured wines from around the regions. To begin February, “Welcome to Italy!”

Now grab that cup of coffee...it’s time for this month’s fireside chat.

  • Prime Rib Night will be offered on Friday, February 5 and 12.

  • Valentine’s Day menu will be on Saturday, February 13 and we will be offering a sweetheart menu. Bring your sweetie and enjoy one of our specially prepared menu selections for the evening. Nothing makes an evening more perfect than relaxing while we serve you wine, a wonderful meal, and as always, we won’t forget the dessert. Please call ahead for your reservation 419-238-0111.

  • Mardi Gras menu will be on Tuesday, February 16 and we’ll be featuring our New Orleans menu. Chicken and shrimp jambalaya, sausage andouilles, shrimp creole, and beignets for dessert. Laissez les bon temps roulor. “Let the good times roll!”

  • Fish Fry will be on Friday, February 19 offering all-you-can-eat-fish, skinny fries, homemade coleslaw, and hush puppies for only $16.99. We pride ourselves on having exceptional seafood and our breaded Flounder is no exception.

  • Fresh Catch will be on Friday, February 26. Keeping with our month’s culinary cuisine theme, we will be featuring Pesce spada alla Siciliana (sword fish with capers, olives, and tomatoes) from Italy.

One last topic to mention, don't forget about our Curbside Menu!

The holidays are over now, and you have been cooking many nights. Are you running out of ideas for a meal? Give Willow Bend a call Tuesday thru Saturday evening and let us prepare a family meal for you to pick up at the club and take home to feed your family. Also, what about a family pack to watch the games this weekend? Stay home and stay safe while enjoying some great Willow Bend wings, meatballs, or mini tacos. We will be back to remind you of these great options when college hoops start their tournament.

For those of you who are working in the office, check out the lunch box options. No need to sit in a drive thru line, only to rush back to work with a greasy burger and fries. Order from Willow Bend and enjoy your lunch while you take some time for yourself and relax.
