It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

You know you were starting to sing along. It’s hard not to, right?

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you go
Take a look in the five-and-ten
Glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes algow

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in ev'ry store
But the prettiest sight to see
Is the holly that will be
On your own front door.

It’s that time of year once again when all seems right with the world. Everyone’s mood is more joyful and a little extra holiday spirit takes over to help make lasting memories that we carry throughout the year.

Creating family memories and staying in touch with old friends is at the top of everyone’s list. It seems the Christmas season tends to bring out the best in an individual; offering a helping hand to someone in need does the soul good. Always remember what you do today will come back two-fold in the future.

Grab that cup of coffee because it's time for this month's fireside chat.

This month is unusual based on the number of scheduled private events that will be going on.

  • The only Prime Rib nights we will be able to offer this month will be on Friday, December 7 and December 14.
  • Our Fresh Catch evenings will have to wait until January, after we reopen.
  • We have two scheduled PAC Buffet offerings in December:
    • The Nutcracker – Saturday, December 1, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
    • Michael McDonald – Saturday, December 8, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

You can make reservations by calling the Club.

santa brunch

Make sure you mark your calendar for our annual Santa Brunch on Sunday, December 9! Santa will visit all the good little boys and girls at the Club, and the buffet is designed uniquely for the kids. This event fills up quickly and continues to grow, so call early to make your reservations.

As many of you know, this is an extremely busy time at the Club, so please be sure to check for any Clubhouse closings or holiday events on the calendar. This is also an important time to remind everyone to call ahead for reservations as many of our nights will fill up quickly. I hate to turn down any opportunities to take care of our members when they would like to come and dine. But there are times when we just can’t accommodate everyone without sacrificing quality or service, and that’s something we will NOT do. So please call with any questions on dates or times!

We are looking forward to a very exciting 2019, and we can’t wait to see what the New Year holds for us here at the Club. Remember, we will be closed for our customary shutdown from January 1 through January 10.

Just a reminder that we can take care of all your Party Planning needs, so be sure to get in touch with us as soon as you can so we can provide you some tasty party items.

Indulge yourself this New Year’s Eve. We will host an exquisite celebration with an outstanding seafood buffet. Don’t forget about the excellent wine and even better company! Please join us for a great evening and make your plans to end the year with us. Call the Club to make your reservations.

We’ve been working on some new menu changes for the upcoming year. We continuously review what we do and how we can make it better. We hope to build on the successes we’ve had this past year, and continue delivering delicious food, excellent value, and superb service to our members. Our commitment to being the very best at everything we do has always been our goal.

To wrap up, on behalf of the entire Willow Bend staff, we would like to thank you all for a great 2018 and raise a glass to the upcoming 2019. We are wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season, and I hope everyone’s Christmas wishes come true!

On a personal note…I am excited to announce that the Richard’s clan has been blessed once again with an addition to the family. A beautiful little baby girl was born on Wednesday, November 21. Paisley Mae Richards, 7 lbs. 10 oz. That makes four grandbabies (two girls and two boys). WOW… I’m getting old but loving every minute of it and wouldn’t change it for the world. Little ones are the definition of pride and joy.

Cheers, God bless, and may the road rise to meet you.
