The Course

Established in 1924, Willow Bend Country Club is a private, mature 9 hole course located in residential Van Wert. A variety of tee placements provide players with three challenging courses. Our Blue/Gold course is the longest at 6,090 yards and is a challenge for the low handicap golfer. The Red/White course offers the higher handicap golfer a enjoyable challenge with 5,200 yards. Our well-maintained course and nicely manicured greens, closely surrounded by high rough, demand accuracy on all approaches.

Although located in a small community, the course follows progressive policies of open access to tee times with no gender restrictions. Average wait for a tee is rarely more than 5 to 10 minutes.

Dress Code:

• Men - Shirts with sleeves and collars required. Slacks or mid-length golf shorts.
• Women - Medium length skirts, slacks or golf shorts with appropriate blouse top.
• Soft Spikes Only - To preserve the quality and character of the course, metal or ceramic spikes are not permitted.

Course Care:
Please -

• On the green, repair your ball marks.
• Replace fresh divots whenever possible.
• Refrain from practice swings that create unnecessary divots. We have a range to practice iron shots.
• Rake all sand bunkers smooth after your shot.
• Observe roped and cart restricted areas.
• Keep carts on paths around greens and tee boxes.
